Am I wrong for committing the crime of arson? Well, I believe that by burning books from past times protects my society for the better. I have citizens that do the dirty work for me, they’re called firemen. Yes, they were supposed to stop fires, but I changed that. Once I realized that books were poisoning the minds of my citizens, I had to put a stop to them. So, the simple solution is to have my “firemen” burn the books. I’m simply watching out for the people that have trusted me to make decisions for them. These pages that have been bound together are called books; they’re nothing, but a burden that gives my citizens the wrong ideas. I’m trying to have the perfect society, so when all you have to do is burn books, why not? All types of books are being burned; I can’t have any books floating around. If they ever get in the hands of the wrong person, that would be absolutely detrimental. Perfection is the key to success. That’s my motto, I live by it. I strive to be perfect and as stated before, I have to have the perfect society. I will stop at nothing to have all books burned in order to keep my society and its citizens protected. One by one they will soon be gone, and no longer be worsening. My people are here to change not to stay the same way they have always been accustomed to. I am here to make that change. I do not wish to call myself a controller, but more of a savior. I am saving my people and making them better than the books could ever make them. I will also be a teacher and guiding the citizens down the right paths to become the newly evolved and more aware person. The burning of these books will make history. I will have the honor to say that I have created and will forever have the most perfect society, living book free. Living book free means no more nonsense about pastimes. My society will thrive and succeed.
