The day i stop loving you is the day i close my eyes forever!

When Ann was younger she noticed herself getting lost in the simplest things. She could tell that no matter how hard she would try her life failed in comparison to others. Ann knew, once she found out her life was just a product of a broken condom, that she was destined for heartache.

When Ann was 3 years old her supposed father left and never looked back, and when she was 5 her drug addict of a mother dropped her off at some friends’ house she had just met. You might be asking yourself what can be worse than a drug house, and you are most likely saying her mother did her a favor. That’s not the case at all.

You see the house Ann lived at was nice for a while, but that turned around so fast you would think you were still spinning. Ann’s guardian now, wasn’t so concerned when Ann began to get bruises and began to bleed from a place normal 5 year olds wouldn’t. On one rainy night when Ann was 9 she was rushed to the hospital for cuts to big to fix on her own. Turns out the wonderful people Ann’s drug addict mother left her with liked little girls a little to much, the whole time Ann had been living there the husband was abusing her. Physically, sexually, and emotionally, Ann was becoming quite use to it. So use to it that when she was finally taken away and put in foster care she thought her foster parents didn’t like her, so Ann packed her bags and ran away.

Ann didn’t make it too far; she stopped at a gas station to get something to drink when a man came up behind her and pulled her to the trunk of his car. This man became well known to her, he made her a room in his basement and locked her in there. Every night the man would bring her a plate with very little to eat on it, he told her “You have to watch her weight because the men wouldn’t like a heavy girl.” Every weekend the man would bring 2 men down and would leave them with her for what seemed like forever. This kept up until Ann was 19, that’s when the man told her she would have to leave. He came down one night with her dinner and noticed the plate wasn’t empty, it was full. Ann didn’t understand why he was feeding her so much, when Ann fell asleep he wrapped her in a blanket and shoved her back in to his trunk. He pulled over at a bridge and was just about to throw her over when a man stopped him.

This man was a good man; he took Ann home with him and laid her on the couch. When Ann awoke she was scared, she didn’t know where she was and she didn’t know the strange man in the kitchen. He walked over to her and asked her what her name was, but Ann didn’t know. All she had ever been called was the little girl. The man looked at her and asked if she was hungry and he helped her to the table. They sat there in silence while they ate, and when they were done he asked if she wanted to take a shower. He gave her a towel and started the shower and to Ann’s surprise he left the bathroom. When she was done she noticed a bed was made on the couch and asked if that was for her. The man said no it was for him and that she could sleep in his bed, he walked her to the room and helped her into bed. He asked if there was anything else she needed and Ann said yes “What’s your name?” He told her his name was Mike, and she told him thank you.

Ann woke up the next morning wondering if it was all a dream, “Did that man really find me?” she asked her self. Before she had time to answer a knock came from the door, a Mans voice called in asking if she was awake. It was Mike peeking in the door way and telling her breakfast was ready. While they were sitting at the table mike began to ask her questions, like “where are you from” and “who was that man”. But Ann didn’t know all she remembered was that she was with that man for a long time. Mike asked if it would be okay for him to take her to the doctors to make sure she was okay.

The doctor came in and after her exam he told Mike that Ann had been abused and by the looks of it, it had been happening for years. Mike was worried and furious, what had this man done to this girl? The doctor then began to tell Mike about a girl he read about in the paper a few years back and told him her name was Ann. He told Mike that she had ran away from her foster parents and was never heard from again. Mike walked in the room and looked at her, he moved closer to her and asked “if I call you name will you tell me if that sounds like yours?” she looked at him in confusion but nodded her head. Mike then asked “Is your name Ann?” she looked at the floor and then looked at him, her eyes were filled with tears and she said yes.

Not much time went by and Ann knew she was happy and with someone who cared for her. After everything she had been through Ann didn’t understand how one person could have made such a big difference in her life. It turned out that the last guy to come and see her down in the basement had got her pregnant. She decided to keep it and Mike, well Mike was a good guy like I said. He stayed by her side the entire time and still is. Ann’s life was finally something she wasn’t afraid of.
