I stopped before I step into the somber classroom. One foot in the air, I wanted to walk backward as I saw my ugly, gluey teacher opened its mouth slowly. At first, I thought the mouth was just a little hole, but then it widen, stretched from the top of the peculiar shaped head to the twisted, soft leg that are partly invisible. Green gases of poison busted out from its mouth. Air pressure increased, gravity weights even heavier, this all clasped on my foot that is in the air shouting “move”! Within a minute, the poison gases have already surrounded me, crush into me, and “flirt” with my internal organs. Suddenly, everything around me started to spin, I felt like a rotating planet. Everything stopped when a voice behind me said,” Patricia, can you stop lingering at the door? I want to go into the classroom.”
“What? But didn’t you see that our teacher, Amanda, is a ……” I shut my mouth tight as I turned my head and saw my teacher writing on the black board. “ Nothing.” I said to my friend with a shaky voice as I walked to my seat. I must have been day dreaming, how would my teacher become a monster? I squeezed my cheek. Unfortunately, I felt nothing. Before I can realize why, the math test was passed down. I looked at the time. 8:45 A.M. Great. I finished the test real quick then I found out that I’ve forgotten that date. 10/31st. Halloween.
Today is really a strange day. I was day dreaming in the front of the classroom this morning, forgotten the date on my test, and now, my head aches. Thank god that it’s nap time now. My aching head felt like a burning hot ball of flames. I closed my eyes, thinking,” Let’s take a rest.”
I awoke as papers slash through my face. I felt lucky for not bleeding, I didn’t even felt pain! I passed them down and stared at it. “ What’s this?” I asked the boy who sat beside me. “ Math test, of course. Don’t you know that?” “ Haven’t we finished this already?” “Are you dreaming?” I was stunned, but I still start to write the math test. I looked at the clock. 8:45 A.M. Again. Maybe I was dreaming. “ What date is it?” I asked the boy. “ 10/31st. Halloween.” I looked down at the questions. Somehow, I remember all the answers. As soon as I finished writing, my head started aching. “ It must be that I’m too tired. That’s why I’ve been day dreaming all day long.” I thought as I started to fall asleep. Answers floated in my mind: 1, 985805, 885, 24, 19647.
I woke up as the boy tapped on my shoulder saying,” Quick! It’s math test time!” “ Huh?” “ Math test!” I looked at the paper as nightmare. You got to be kidding me. I looked at the clock. 8:45 A.M. 10/31st. Halloween. I, 985805, 885, 24, 19647. I raised my hand reluctantly. Tr. Amanda came. With a quavered voice, I asked,” What the hell have you done to me?” A smile emerged on her face. “ You are still not awake.”
