Lily green was your everyday fifteen year old, ninth grade girl who always got straight "A's" and never got in any trouble. Lily is bullied everyday, has been all her life. Her mother died giving birth to her which caused her father to become an alcoholic, he once threw a beer bottle at lily's head because she poured his beer down the drain. Lily goes to Thunder Mountain High School, she lives in a cute little house next to her best friend Grace, in Phoenix, Arizona. Her very best friends are Grace, Emma and Lucy.

One dry Monday, Emma and Lily were sitting in math class, listening to ms.Coles teach, ms.Coles was Lily's favorite teacher. " lil your falling asleep," Emma gave her a slight shake to wake her up. " I got no sleep at all last night" lily stretched out her arms with a yawn. " what did your dad do this time? Throw his booze at you? " They both gave a slight laugh " not funny ems, and no, he was yelling at the dog again, then replaced the water in his water his water bole with his Sam Adoms beer. He says its " fancy," After an hour of that, he started crying and got on his hands and knees, begging the dog to forgive him for eating the dogs chocolate." Lily smiled and they giggled, then took some notes " you dad ate your dogs poop?" Emma raised an eyebrow " no cus I just cleaned the yard." They giggled again. " you should have gone to Grace's house silly" Emma stated. " Guess I just didn't want to wake her," Lily shrugged beginning to draw. " lil, you know that girl is is up 24/7 texting her lover. Another giggle escaped their lips " very True. Either way my dad needs me no matter how drunk he is." The bell rang sending everyone to lunch. As Emma and lily were packing up, ms. Coles approached them, " hello girls," she smiled. " hay ms. Coles, hows the baby? Lily questioned. " oh, we found out that the baby's gonna be a boy!" Ms. Coles responded excited, "that's wonderful!!" Lily and Emma were truly excited for her. " oh lily, I saw this at the craft shop the other day and thought of you." Ms. Coles pulled out a little piece of wood on a chain with a wolf and moon carved into it. " I got it because I know you have a strong passion for wolves, it would be a nice thing to keep in your pocket or something" she put it in Lilys hand, " oh my gosh! It's amazing! Thank you so much!" Lily did a happy dance and the three of them laughed. " see ya tomarrow!" Lily shouted and walked into the hall towards the lunch room.

They went to their usual table in the corner by the window, were Grace and Lucy awaited. " Ello madam," Lucy was practicing her british accent again, I love your accent, your getting better at naturally saying it" Emma complimented Lucy. " why thank you madem" they started eating their pizza. Megan and Lindsay are the most popular girls in school, Megan hates lily more then anyone else because she got more votes then Megan and was elected class president in 5th grade. Megan and Lindsay sauntered up to the 4 best friends,
" hay lily," Megan tilted her head to the side and smiled, " so me and Lindsay were thinking," Emma cut her off mid-sentance, " Holy crap! You two have brains!?" Emma grined. Megan and Lindsay looked at each other then faced Emma " shut up Emma, you'll never be the man your mother is" Lindsay smirked as everyone laughed. Lily had enough, " hay! Quit being a jerk Lindsay! Oh and Megan, I've been wondering if you were born on a highway cus that's were most accidents happen" Jaws dropped, everyone staired. " you jerk!" Lindsay dumped her food on lily then Megan shoved her to the ground. Everyone laughed again, Emma, Grace, and Lucy helped her up then hurried off to the bathroom. Lily cried the whole way. " shhhh it's okay," Emma reassured Lily as Grace and Lucy cleaned her up.
" you wanna go home? I'll drive you?" Lucy offerd worried " No, I have a huge test next period, I can't miss it" lily's face was bright red and her eyes were puffy. Once she was ready Lily walked to her locker, people stared, but when she got to her locker she saw Megan and Lindsay waiting for her.

Lily sighed and ignored them as she grabbed her English text book for her test. Then it began. " hay lily! Your birth certificate was an apology letter to the condom factory!" A guy shouted." Your so ugly that when your momma dropped you off at school she got a fine for littering!" " she doesn't have a mom!" " your lookin green lily, you a troll?" The whole time people shouted horrible things at her, Megan and Lindsay just stood there smiling and watching.Tears began to fall down her cheeks. " Aw, is she crying? I didn't know she had a heart" They laughed again Lily threw her stuff to the ground and ran the whole mile and a half home crying the whole way. When she got home, she dashed up the stairs and into the bathroom then locked the door. She grabbed her razor then sat her self in the tub. She placed the blade on her smooth tan skin, then drug it down her arm as blood gushed out and stained her clothes. Years fell onto the wound making it sting. She repeated the dragging motion three times, four times then one final time, things got blurry not just from tears, she wasn't dead. She stumbled out of the tub and limped to the cabinet, she grabbed the pain killers to ease the pain in her arm, but she couldn't count how many were in her hand, strong arms picked her up then everything went black. She was loosing to much blood. When she woke, a bright white lite was shining over head, " am I dead?" Lily's voice was raspy and faint, a sharp pain throbbed in her arm. There was an IV needle in her vain on her left wrist, bandages took up her whole right arm. She saw 3 figures around her, Lily couldn't tell who they were yet because she was still gathering her eye sight back.when she could see a bit clearer, Emma, Lucy and Grace were at her side crying, Grace was holding lily's hand in hers. When lily looked across the room she saw a very scared guy, it took her a minute her father was in the chair next to her. He looked sober and calm, the doctor came in and was talking to her father. " so she lost a massive amount of blood, but these three girls donated a little and it saved your little girls life. We have Lily on life support cus without it, the blood we put in her veins won't be enough. We also found out she had taken a large amount of pain killers and at her age, it could have killed her." The doctor explained worried. " what can I do for her" Lily's father demanded to know. " Sir please calm down, if you want to help your daughter then you can get rid of all alcohol and lock up any thing sharp including kitchen were." The doctor was now examining lily's condition. Her father left to do as told. There was a knock at the door so Grace opened it, within a matter of seconds ms. Coles was at lily's side holding her hand crying. " oh lily, I'm so so sorry" tears escape lily's eyes. When the doctor came in a hour later " visiting hours are over, although you can send her mail, you can ask the woman in the lobby about were to send it." The doctor opened the door for ms.coles and then left with her. " lils you should get some rest, okay." Lucy laid lily back down to rest. " how long was I out?" Lily asked weakly." Well it's been almost a week, my dad was home and saw you run into your house very upset, he went over to check on you, to make sure you were okay and you didn't answer the door but he herd a loud thud so he ran in and found you in the bathroom covered in blood taking a bunch of pills, so he took you to the hospital then called your dad who was at the store about to buy more beer, He was sober enough to drive here, then my dad called me and told me to bring Lucy and Emma to my house and that you were very hurt, he came and picked us up after an hour to bring us to you" Grace filled lily in. " now sleep okay" Emma instructed lily.

When lily woke again, the doctor was taking notes and holding three envelops. We found that in your pants pocket when our female nurse changed your clothes when you got here" he gestured to the wolf carving ms. Coles gave lily. " My wolf chain" lily was a bit stronger then before but still to weak. " I thought I had lost it forever" she was relieved to have it back " so, you've got mail, you want to see it?" The doctor held out the envelopes to her. " yes please" lily took the envelopes and opened the first as the doctor got her water. " I haven't looked at who they are from, I guess you can do that" the doctor smiled " thank you" lily said as she continued to open the first



Dear lily, we love you so much and without you we are nothing, just empty. We are proud of you for being there for your dad and all the other wonderful things you've done. You WILL come home healthy and strong. Doctor said you'll be back in a month or so, we can and will visit when we can,

lily smiled and folded it back up then grabbed the next. But before she opened it the doctor brought her breakfast, bacon, eggs, pancakes and orange juice. While she ate her father came in " lily, I'm so so so sorry for everything I've done. The girls told me everything, they told me about school and what I did to you when I was drunk, I'm in rehab now to control my drinking problem and I only have one beer a day, please forgive me. I'm sure your mother is watching and thinking about how sweet you really are, no matter what Megan and Lindsay say or do, you are such a good kid. Your my little girl and I'm gonna be here from now on to support you. Okay" he was crying now, holding her hand. Lily smiled " okay I'll let you eat and read your letters, I love you" Then he was out the door so she picked up the second letter.



Dear Lily Green, your an amazing young lady who has done so much for me, your friends and your father. I have enjoyed having you in class and I hope to see you back at school healthy again. Megan and Lindsay have been expelled from school so it's ok to come back, it's safe. I will pray for you

lily was happy to know that people really did care including her father. She grabbed the last one and opened it


Hay loser! So, you tried to kill your self huh? Haha, should have tried harder! Maybe a few more pain killers would have done it. And is daddy finally sober enough to see how messed up you are? Has your face scared him off yet? What about mommy? She there to? Oh that's right, your life killed her!! So do us all a favor and and be done.

lily burst into tears, she finally has had enough, " maybe they are right, no one needs me, I'm just a choice no one wanted to make. Lily sobbed, she took one look at her IV bag, she ripped the IV out of her wrist, then turned to face what had been keeping her alive the past week. She looked at the letter one more time then switched off her life support. She grabbed the letter, laid down holding the letter to her chest and closed her eyes. " mom, don't worry, I'm coming to you" then it went black.
