“Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas little boy! What’s your name?” Santa Clause asked.
“Bobby.”
“Hello Bobby, what would you like for Christmas?”
“Mr. Santa Clause Sir, I would like a family that will love and care for me with all their heart.”
“Well Bobby I can try my best! But families are the hardest wish to make come true.”
“Oh please Sir!’
Santa winks as he says, “Elf! Please take Bobby to his nanny.”

Bobby was a little ten year old boy whose parents died in a terrible car accident when he was only two years old. As a result, he has very little memory of his parents. Bobby lives in an orphanage with twelve other boys and girls. Every year the nannies that take care of all the children do their best to give each of them their Christmas wish.

Two weeks were left until Christmas Day. Everybody was so excited to see if their wish would actually come true. Throughout the days leading up to the big day, many couples would come to look at the children. Being one of the older children in the orphanage, Bobby was always making sure he looked his best for the couples. Most of the other children wouldn’t notice if they were being observed because they weren’t old enough to know what was happening. Most of the couples that came in didn’t seem very serious in adopting until one day.

On December 23, a polite couple came in looking to adopt. They wanted a sweet young boy that was mannered, kind, and caring. Bobby over heard their expectations and showed them all his skills and manners. He for sure thought they were interested in him until another boy in the orphanage came into the room. Within a matter of seconds, Bobby thought they were falling for him. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to make up their mind so they told the nannies they would be back tomorrow. The next day rolled around and no sign of the happy couple. Bobby was so worried that they either wouldn’t come back or they would choose the other boy over him.

Christmas Eve was a nightmare for everyone. Couples flew in and flew out faster than you could say a simple “Hello”. The orphanage was so crowded several of the kids would hide so they weren’t squished. Within a matter of hours a majority of the children had been adopted except for Bobby. Bobby had no idea that the happy couple that had come in a couple days before had put him on their waiting list. They were waiting till Christmas Day to surprise him with adoption.

Christmas Day was finally here. All the orphans that were left ran out of their beds to see what Santa had brought them. Once they saw the Christmas tree, they found couples with signs in their hands saying the name of their child that they were adopting.
“Hi Bobby! I’m Nancy and this is George. We’re here to adopt you!” Before Bobby could even take a look around, he ran and gave the couple the biggest bear hug known to man.
“Come on son, let’s take you home!”
