It is really cold out today and I do not have enough layers on to protect me from the cold. I am walking down the streets of Boston holding out my cup that I wish people would put money into. All I have in here is a couple of pennies and someone’s chewed up gum. When people see me they start to walk faster and avoid all eye contact. The younger kid’s parents tell them not to stare and say that is what happens when you do not pay your bills. It is getting late and I am hungry so I go digging through the trash at different restaurants to find something to help my hunger. Even though some people might see this as gross it is the only way I will be able to eat for the day. It is getting later now and I need to pick a safe place to sleep tonight. I think I will go to the playground tonight since there are usually a lot of lights there so I can see what is going on around me. People do not understand how hard it is and just always judge me right away. I did not choose to live this way. I do not want to live this way, but till the day I get back up on my feet this is the life I live right now.
