Vanished
Sabrina was walking up the stairs to her brother’s room. She had finally decided to say sorry. She didn’t mean to tell him that he was worthless or any of the rude things she said. When she opened the door she gasped loudly. She could not believe what she was seeing. It was Anthony, but he was laying on the floor with both his wrist oozing with blood and an empty bottle of pills next to him.
She instantly called the police, the ambulance and her parents. The police came instantly along with the ambulance. They asked her what happened but she was still to shocked to say anything. Everyone was leaving the room and her brother was being covered by a blanket when she saw a piece of paper on his desk. She walked over to it and opened the letter.
The letter read.
‘If you see this letter its because I am already in hell or heaven. Sabrina I love you and trust me when I say it wasn't for you. I had never came out of the closet and now I am, I was gay and my boyfriend was ashamed of me. He did not want anybody to know he was gay. It was Chase Matthews. He told me he couldn’t be seen with me because it would ruin his reputation. When you see him at my funeral tell him I will always love him and that I am sorry but I could not stand seeing all those girls he used to sleep with. It used to break my heart every night. Tell him not to mourn over me because he should now live his life since I won’t be there to tell how to do so. Tell mom and dad I love them and I am sorry. Don’t cry over me none of you I love you all.’
I was crying by the time I was finished.
Two days later we were in Anthony’s funeral. The doctors couldn’t do anything for him he had already lost too much blood. I had the only straight face I did not want to cry or laugh or break down I just wanted to feel nothing. I was just waiting for Chase Matthews to arrive. I turn around and look at everyone they are all crying and begging for him to come back, but there is no use in begging he’s gone already. I just stood still I'll cry over him late right now I have to be the strong one. I am going to do exactly what my brother told me to do. I’ll let him rest in peace.
When Chase walked through the gates I walked up to him and met him halfway.
“I got to talk to you” I stated with no emotion on my face. “What happened?” he asked. “I have to tell you that I know everything about you, I know that you’re actually gay and your boyfriend was my brother, the reason he committed suicide was because of you. He did not want to live with the fact that you would never get out the closet and will always be having sexual intecourse with other girls, he wanted me to tell you that now you can live your life the way you wanted and and not to mourn over him because he loved you” by the time I was finished Chase was in tears. “I never meant for this to happen I loved him” Chase was on the ground.
I simply just turned around and walked away with only one thought in mind. Chase never thought that my brother would give up on him this way so he kept playing. Like that quote says “You never know what you have until it’s gone false, you know exactly what you had you just never knew it will one day be gone.”
