Extraordinary Christmas
It was the day before Christmas Eve and everyone in the Wright family could not wait for Christmas, especially their three children, Rachel, Finn and Marley. Rachel is seven years old and loves everything about Christmas; giving presents and getting Presents and going to see Santa at the VFW Christmas Party it was filled with Christmas trees and gifts for the little ones and a magical place for Santa. Finn is five and, he loves to help his mom bake Christmas cookies and eat them too. Marley is three years old and although she does not get the concept of Christmas, she loves getting presents. Every year they all gather together in Santa workshop that was decorated to be the living room and watch it as a family, their favorite movie was Rudolph the red noise reindeer.
Another Christmas Eve tradition is Wright family goes to Grandma’s house and meeting the rest of the family their. “When are we going to Grandma’s House daddy? Finn asked” We will be going as soon as her sisters and mom come back from the store is you ready to go now?” Yes I want to go soon; I can’t wait to see Sam and Tyler again. Finn explained” “. Well your mom and sisters will be home soon, so go get ready. Ok I will.”
A while later Mom and the girls came home, Mrs. Wright was telling the girls about the time she had a White Christmas. “What is a White Christmas?” The girls asked. Well a white Christmas when it snows on Christmas Eve and the snow everywhere. “SNOW! “Exclaimed the girls Yes Snow It are very magical. “Why doesn’t it snow here in Maryland?” “ Well because it not really cold here and it need to be cold for the snow to sick to ground. Oh wow I wish it would snow here.” “ Yeah there we can have a feel for what you are taking about Mom” Said Rachel.
The whole family got in the car and headed to Grandmas house. On the way there they all sang “Over the river and thought the woods to grandma’s house we go” the whole way there. They were all filled with Christmas cheer. At Grandmas house under the tree were presents for all her grandkids. “Grandma can we open present now?” The grandkids asked with excitement. “You kids have to wait we all are going to eat dinner soon” Grandma had explained to the children. On the dinner table there was a bowl full of creamy mashed Potatoes, and nice warm pasta and some Ham. And for desert we had Christmas cookies and Santa cupcakes. It was really good but there was one thing missing.
After dinner the kids were in the living room watching TV, There was something on the TV about the homeless shelter, The children who are there will not get a lot for Christmas and all they really want is have a real home. The Wright children looked under the tree and saw all of there present and then thought of the kids who did not have anything. From that moment all of the children have taken one present from under the tree and decided to bring it to the homeless shelter so the less fortunate kids can have a great Christmas as well.
When they got to the homeless shelter they gave everyone a present and sang all Christmas to share the Christmas cheer. The look on their face was the greatest gift of all. When the kids walked out of the shelter, there was something different in the air. It was that it was snowing and the wrights were going to have a white Christmas. This Christmas was Extraordinary.
