Sayings Stay Forever

The motto "do not do a flop jock" seems to be compared to doing a dance than what the concrete meaning is. My family, my friends family, alongside with my girlfriends family, cover an exclusive amount of phrases and quotes that are used well throughout the home. These sayings bring strong emotion into the home and make the families connect positively, leading to uproarious jokes, and additional comments. Quotes and phrases are sayings that will continue in my vocabulary for time without end.

"To the revolution". As the recession in the 2000s hit the United States, my girlfriends intellectual dad, was constantly thinking of different ways to get the family together to follow one plan and to unify. The calling for people to join together and create a better environment or idea was well needed. This was when he threw the phrase at me like a pitcher would throw a baseball to a baseman. When arguments are brought about, and protracted, agreement is well needed. Every time a dispute is settled, or cut down to peace, a new saying is said. When all unity and peace comes together, fists get brought up into the air, and put together. When fists are put up into the skylight, a voice screams, "To the revolution". When this saying is shouted, all chaos stops and life continues on with a calm manner.

"Do not do a Flop Jock". It is all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Doing a flop jock is one embarrassing stunt to pull; However, pain is also involved. To complete the task of doing a flop jock, it is not simply just a dance or an act. This phrase, came from my mother's mouth and addressed a warning signal toward me. Whenever this phrase is said out loud, in my family, somebody is about to either fall or get hurt. As my 9 year old immaturity made the appearance, so did my dancing. My feet started in a frenzy of movements and special skills. They shot out moves and skills likes rockets out of a rocket launcher. I had moves coming out of me left and right. As my adrenaline rocketed through the roof, so did my dance moves and skills. I was moon walking like Michael Jackson, and doing the dougie. As my feet speed amplified, a dark force pulled my body to the ground, following with a loud thump. My mouth opened, leaving the crevices between my teeth showing, and my family died of laughter. My shriek was the noise of a dying pig, leaving everyone in the room absolutely deaf. When I finally recovered my thoughts and deposited them into the bag, my mom unexpectedly says, "do not do a flop jock"

"Full Bash". A large amount of children tend to compare this phrase, to a more particular phrase known as "YOLO" or "HAM". To go "full bash", a need for speed and a lack of fear is required. Going full bash, is laying everything on the table, and giving it everything you have. I mean, risking serious injury is not that bad of an idea, right? In a more straightforward term, parental discretion is not advised. Spending time with friends and racers at the track, were by far the supreme moments in my life. Riding motocross has been my passion unconditionally since I was three years of age. Ever since pre-school, my best friend Troy and I have rode together, like brothers. Taking week long trips together to ride, was the greatest experiences of my life. A memory that will never be forgotten, is the first time Troy's dads new phrase "Full bash", made its debut. As I lined up at the starting gate of the championship for my rider class, his dad said one word. "Jake, it is time to go full bash". The only thought that occurred in my microscopic head, was to immediately lay it all on the table and give it my most excellent race of my life time.

As a result of phrases and quotes being used in families, memories are made and remembered forever. Since "YOLO" has been around for a while now, why not use the phrase "Full Bash". With these sayings and phrases bringing strong emotions into the families, memories and brought and left for future references and family stories. As my family, my girlfriends family, and my best-friends family goes, sayings a phrases will be around for eternity.
