Turkayne

Lemmy was a turkey who lived on a farm. Unlike all other turkeys, she was not one who was going to get eaten. She was merely an usual pet turkey belonging to Emmy. They were great friends, but Lemmy wanted to meet the famous singer/actress Turkayne. Lemmy daydreamed all day about walking onto stage with Turkayne. She knew it would be difficult on the way to Turkayne’s house. Many people would love to eat a turkey for Thanksgiving, and Lemmy might end up becoming one.

So one chilly night, Lemmy ventured out out to seek out Turkayne. Lemmy knew Emmy would understand. It was three days before Thanksgiving, and Lemmy knew that people would rush out to buy turkeys for their dinner meal. Thus, Lemmy hurried onto the nearest trolley that allowed turkeys, and fell asleep, dreaming about Turkayne.

When Lemmy woke up, she was at the right stop; “Gobbledelphia”. It was the legendary place where turkeys roamed freely without worrying about getting eaten. It was forbidden to have a turkey feast here, but that only applied to humans. Turkey predators can eat a turkey without being arrested.

“Finally, I’ve arrived! Here I come Turkayne! Your number one fan, really,” Lemmy said to herself.

Then, a high pitched, obnoxious voice spoke behind her. “Lookie here. A lame turkey, wanting to meet the legendary Turkayne? How sad.”

Lemmy whipped around to see who was insulting her, and there stood Cheyenne, a hawk. Hawks are known to be able to kill live turkeys, so Lemmy was alert.

“Who are you?” Lemmy asked, in a way that made her seem frightened. Bad choice.

“I, am the fabulous Cheyenne!,” She cackled, as she flapped her wings, and rose into the sky.

“Watch your back, turkey. You seem like you’d make a good meal..” Then Cheyenne flew away, leaving a frightened Lemmy behind.

Lemmy hustled to the nearest map, and looked all over it, until she found Turkayne’s house. It wasn’t that hard to find, since it was a huge dot colored in purple, Turkayne’s favorite color. Gee, Turkayne is pretty famous, Lemmy thought to herself, as she walked down the street to Turkayne’s house.

When Lemmy got there, it was deserted. She was worried, but thought Turkayne might be in other rooms; so she checked. Turkayne wasn’t in any of those rooms, and Lemmy started to really worry.

Lemmy went back to where she started, and she realized there was a note.

Come to the middle of the woods, where I hold Turkayne captive. If you ever want to meet her, go and jump into the pot of which I will cook you in. ~Cheyenne, the hawk.

Oh no, oh no! Cheyenne has Turkayne! What will I do?, Lemmy frantically thought. Then, a lightbulb went on in her head, and Operation Save Turkayne started.

Lemmy made her way through the clump of overgrown trees, with red leaves ready to plummet down to the ground. She finally found the middle of the woods, where it was a popular site to camp out. Lemmy hid behind a few trees, and peeked around it.

Cheyenne was asleep and Turkayne was tied on a tree, also sleeping. How could she sleep in that state? Lemmy crept slowly toward Turkayne, and flinched when Cheyenne let out a little snore. Lemmy got there, and used her beak to cut the rose loose. By now, Turkayne was wide awake, smiling like crazy. Lemmy was proud of herself, and gloating at the same time.

Lemmy carefully stepped around Cheyenne and made her way back to the city, Turkayne following her. Turkayne was very grateful, and gave Lemmy tickets backstage to her next concert. Lemmy was more than overjoyed.

Lemmy hurried to the police station, and reported about Cheyenne capturing Turkayne. The police thanked Lemmy, and scrambled off the capture Cheyenne. Lemmy went home, and rested until Turkayne’s concert.

In the end, everyone was happy, except for Cheyenne. She was served 15 hawk years in jail for turknapping Turkayne. Lemmy and Turkayne ended up becoming a singing duo, and they were extremely famous.
