The Light
The Light
I’ve been stuck down here forever well mostly forever. When I was two I was taken to a top secret prison to be a test subject. The government seems good until this happens to you. I’m seventeen now every time they open the door I think of what happens to the next person. I’m on a waiting list, i’m placed 1,264 today they started at one thousand. Every day I hear the echoing of horror screaming. This place has no windows no way to escape. You’re only hope is to die quickly not stuck with the anti-poison. They poison you then ‘help you’ by giving you an untested vaccine. Yeah what a help that is.
“Number 1,209” A voice echoed. The only voice you’ll hear. Death at your doorstep. I went to sleep knowing i was a dead man.
“Number 1,263.” The voice said. My heart skipped a beep or two probably more. The door opened.
“Number 1,264” I gulped and started to run. I bulldozed the caller. Only to be met by the people in the gas suit.
“No.” i screeched in terror. “NO.” Then i blacked out.
I woke up in a room. “Is he the anti-poison.” One said. The other nodded. A beaker was held over my mouth i opened my mouth to the pain of the taser they had somewhere.
“I hope this works.” One said glancing at the anti-poison. There was a light. It was glowing from the anti-poison. I wasn’t sure how sanitary this was. I just started at the light. My thoughts didn’t happen, I just relaxed. And heard the sound.
“Hello” It was one of the gas suit people. “And Happy birthday.” One of the suit people opened up and it was a person she was crying. “I’m sorry.” I felt pain. Agony.
The light. It failed, the light.
