Road Trip
One day I go to school and it is the worst day ever, we have tons of homework in every subject. When I get to my very last class, my least favorite class, Mrs. Smith gives us a sheet of paper upside down and tells us not to look at it until she tells us too. When she finally tells us to turn the paper over, I wait to see other peoples reaction. The first reaction I hear is someone gasping in the corner so it could still be good or bad. Then I hear another kid in my class scream “We are going to Hawaii!” I get so excited that I jump out of my seat and accidentally hit my friend in the gut. I then turned over my paper and read the whole sheet. When I’m reading it I see that if we go we get 25 extra credit points. When I get home I don’t say anything to my parents about but, I do tell them that I had a horrible day and had tons of homework. Later that night they asked me if I needed to tell them anything. I said yes and walked away to go get the paper. When I come back I give them the paper and tell them that we have a field trip to Hawaii. They didn’t believe me but then they read the paper and believed me! That night I finished all my homework or at least I thought I did. My parents walk in and tell me that I can’t go until I finish an essay that I forgot about for a while now. Now I just need a topic, it can be about anything. When I finished my essay I was super happy because it took me two days and I couldn’t do anything till it was done. When I finished I told my parents and they signed the field trip sheet for me to go. The first thing I do when I get to school is go to that teacher a give her the piece of paper. I was unbelievably happy until Mrs. Smith told me it was due yesterday and she couldn’t accept it. after school I was so mad at my parents for making me finish the essay before turning the paper in and they said that 40 points was more important than the 25 extra credit points. It made sense but I also could have had an amazing vacation to a place I had never been before. I was the only one in the grade who couldn’t go so that made me even more mad. When they got back they told me that it rained the whole time and was so boring. After they toldc me that I was actually glad that I didn’t go. Once everybody was back at school the next day, school went back to normal which was boring, boring, and even more boring.
