Hurdles
This was the first track meet of the season and I could already feel the butterflies swarming in my stomach as i stepped up to the line. The official read out a few simple instructions and waited for everyone to get set.
“ On your marks, get set, go!”
And we were off. I raced down the track. The person next to me seemed to become faster and faster. I tried to keep up but I couldn’t. I lost my speed, my strength. I tried to overcome the next hurdle but it overcame me instead. I layed there, watching as everyone flew by with grinning smiles runnning across there faces.
Angy, I pulled my self up and finished the race, only to realize that it hasn’t even started.
