THE TWO BROTHERS
There was two brothers, Jose who was the oldest brother and Francisco was the youngest brother ) that were worried because their grandfather named Martin was going to die and they were wondering who was going to stay with the factory and who was going to keep the house. Jose the big brother, who likes to live in the big cities and spend money, owned a restaurant. Francisco was married and lives in the city. He was a nice man who thought of others before himself. Jose and Francisco were going to the house of their grandpa who was very sick and was going to let them know who was going to stay with the house and the factory.
Jose: Francisco who do you think is going to stay with the house that’s in the mountains.
Francisco: I don’t know. What do you want to stay with?
Jose: I want the factory because I could sell it for millions of dollars.
Francisco: But I think that grandpa will like to keep the factory.
Jose: No that factory is very old and it won’t work, so if he gives me the factory I’m going to sell it.
Francisco: Well we will have to see what grandpa is going to ask us to do with the factory.
They arrive to the house of their grandpa named Martin how was very sick.
Francisco: grandpa we came as soon as we heard that you were sick.
Jose: grandpa who is going to stay with your factory
Francisco: how could you ask him that question?
Jose: Jose looking at Francisco not wanting to answer “It was just a question he said
Jose looking out the window saw a car approaching to the house it was the lawyer who was going to read the testament of his grandpa. Jose didn’t say anything and went running outside to ask the man about the testament. Ding dong, Javier opened the door so the lawyer could come in the house.
Jose: Mr. Conner can you come here for a moment
Mr. Conner (an old man who was a lawyer and friend of Martin): Can I help you gentlemen?
Jose: I want to see what my grandpa left for me
Mr. Conner: I’m sorry but your grandpa told me that I could not tell anyone.
Jose: (starting to get mad) but I’m his nephew and you can tell me.
Francisco heard the conversation and he went to see what was going on and he saw that the lawyer had arrived and was talking to Jose
Francisco: Mr. Conner thank god that you are here we have been expecting you. My grandpa is up stairs.
Mr. Conner: thank you son, let’s go upstairs
Francisco: ok
The three headed upstairs to Martin’s room, they entered and closed the door.
Martin: I’m so glad you made it Conner.
Mr. Conner: I came has soon as possible, now let’s get started. Can you boys please wait outside?
Francisco: let’s go outside Jose
Jose: No I want to stay, grandpa might need me.
Mr. Conner: You will have to wait outside, sir.
Francisco pulled Jose outside the room and took him downstairs so he could leave Mr. Conner and grandpa alone. Jose wanted to hear what was going on inside so he went behind the house and got a ladder and got up so he could hear, but the window was closed and he was so mad that when he got down he threw the ladder in the woods. Francisco was wondering where Jose was. So he went and looked for him. He found Jose behind the house.
Francisco: What do you think that you’re doing behind the house and why did you throw the ladder in the woods.
Jose took a while to respond
Jose: I just found the ladder in the woods, so I’m going to pick up and if it’s still in good condition I’m going to put it in the garage, excuse me.
Francisco: Don’t you think it could be the neighbor’s ladder.
Jose: If it is, why did they throw it out?
Francisco: Maybe they forgot the ladder.
Jose: Well we need a ladder because the one we have is too old and it could break if we used it.
Francisco: Ok then let’s keep the ladder.
Jose and Francisco went in the house. They saw the lawyer was looking for them because their grandpa was dead. So they could call all their friends so they could pay their respects to him. Francisco called everyone he knew. Everyone went to the funeral. Three days later, the lawyer was ready to read the testament. The lawyer appeared at their house. Francisco was sad he still could not believe that his grandpa have died, Jose was not really sad; he just wanted to hear what Grandpa left for him.
Jose: Mr. Conner we have been expecting you.
Mr. Conner: I’m here, how are you guys doing?
Jose: I’m good, but Francisco is still sad.

Mr. Conner: You should be sad also but I think that you didn’t like your Grandpa.
Jose didn’t know what to say so he turned and started to fake that he was caring and started to say things he thought the lawyer wanted to hear.
Mr. Conner: It’s time to read the testament because I have another meeting.
Francisco: ok then, let’s go upstairs
Jose: Right up here
Mr. Conner, Jose and Francisco went upstairs so Mr. Conner could start reading the testament. While Mr. Conner was reading, Jose couldn’t contain his excitement to see what was left for him, but there was a surprise and he was going to stop the lawyer but Francisco didn’t let him
Francisco: Jose!! Let Mr. Conner finish reading the testament because he has to leave to another meeting, so be quiet!!
Mr. Conner: Thank you Francisco. Now I can continue.
Francisco: You’re welcome.
Mr. Conner: I martin leave my factory and my house to both my Grandsons Francisco and Jose. So they could fix it and do what they want with the house but the factory I want them to keep it so they could work.
Francisco: Is that all he wanted.
Mr. Conner: Yes that’s all he wanted you guys to know.
Jose: Didn’t he say something else.
Mr. Conner: No that is all he said. Now if you’ll excuse I have to go because I have another meeting to attend.
Francisco: ok right this way.
Francisco was taking Mr. Conner to the door wile Jose was so mad that when Francisco and the lawyer left the room he started to throw all the papers that was on the table he couldn’t believe that he had to share the factory with Francisco. Jose heard that Francisco was coming back and he started to put the paper on the table so Francisco wouldn’t notes anything ,but it was too late when Francisco enter he saw that the papers were at the ground and was surprise.
Francisco: What happened here Jose?
Jose: I opened the window and the air came in and blows everything.
Francisco: Well let’s pick everything up, so we could go to the factory and start working
Jose: Francisco won’t it be better if well sell the factory. We could become a millionaire.
Francisco: No!! Grandpa told us to take care of the factory and get it working so we could se clause to the town. So come on we have to leave.
Francisco went out the door and Jose didn’t say anything and was walking begin Francisco. They got to the car and they drove to the factory they found a old lady that was walking on the road .
Francisco: Should we give her a ride.
Jose: No there is no more room for her.
Francisco: José you could go to the back
Jose: I’m not going to the back of the car
Francisco: We just can’t levee her hire. Son it will get dark and she will not be able to anything so go to the back because I’m stopping to help her.
Francisco pulled over to the side of the road and was going to ask the lady if she wanted a ride to the town Jose was mad because he didn’t want to go to the back because there was a little space.
Francisco: Excuse me do you need a ride down town.
The lady: No thank you I just live right her
Francisco: I could take you to your house.
The lady: No I could walk
Francisco: I insist it will get dark soon and you will not be able to see anything in the night.
Jose: Live her if she doesn’t want to come
Francisco: Be quiet
The lady: Ok I will let you take me to my house
Jose had to go to the back Francisco help the lady to get in the car. When they got at the lady house they dropt her and she was inviting them to come In her house so they can drink a cup of coffee but they had to go to the factory. The lady thanks them for the raid and they left so they could get to the factory and get started. When they got their Jose didn’t want to get down he was looking at the factory like if it was worthless and probably they were going to waste they time. They enter inside and saw that they had to do a lot of work.
Francisco: Jose I think that we better get started.
Jose: What are we going to do just look at this place we won’t be able to fix this place so I’m living
Francisco: Jose you cant live me with all this work
Jose: Bye I have important stuff to do. I see you later at the house.
Francisco was calling hi so he could come back but he didn’t Jose just keep walking and got put of the biding Francisco was by him self and got started t work. Francisco started to clean he was inside the building all night. Jose was already talking with two guys named Erik and Julio that were interested to by the factory.
Jose: So gentlemen we should get started to talk about the price
Erik: We will give you 100,000 for the factory
Jose: so the is your last offer
Erik: Yes, you take it or you live it
Jose: OK when are we going to sign the papers?
Erik: How about tomorrow we could meet at the restaurant that is at the other side of the road at 10:00 AM and don’t be late.
Jose: Ok tomorrow at 10:00 AM.
Erik and Julio walk out the house and left. Jose was happy that he was going to sell the factory but Francisco didn’t now what was Jose doing. Jose called Francisco to know were was he.
Jose: Francisco where are you?
Francisco: I’m still at the factory, you should come and see I’m almost finished fixing the factory.
Jose: Ok, but when I get there we have to talk.
Francisco: ok
Jose: I’ll see you their in 30 minutes bye
Francisco: I’ll be waiting bye.
Jose walked to the factory and was thinking how was he going to tell Francisco about selling the factory. Jose was worried about Francisco’s reaction. When he got to the factory, Francisco was waiting outside. Francisco was happy because he had finished fixing the factory.
Francisco: Jose, why did you take so long to get here?
Jose: I had to walk because I don’t have a car.
Francisco: It’s okay. Do you want to see how the factory turned out?
Jose: Okay
Francisco open the door too shoo Jose. When Jose saw inside he cloudlet believe that Francisco had finish fixing it so fast Francisco was sow happy that he was thinking in jarring workers.
Jose: Francisco I have something to tell you
Francisco: what do you have to tell me.
Jose: I don’t want you to get mad but I just had a conversation with Erik and Julio
Francisco: Are those the guys that are interesting in baying the factory Why were you with them?
Jose: I know that your going to get mad but I just sold the factory and we are going to sign the papers tomorrow.
Francisco: What!!! How could you do this? It’s my factory you should have asked me.
Jose: I know, but he is going to give me 100,00 for all this.
Francisco: You could do what ever you want with it I’m going to take my family and live but remember that are grandpa wanted us to do with it.
Francisco got out of the factory and got in his car living Jose. Jose was alone in the factory the next day Jose went were he was going to met with Erik and Julio so he cold sign the papers. Jose saw that Erik and Julio were already waiting.
Jose: Sorry that I’m late I got here as fast as I could.
Erik: It’s ok we just got here to so don’t worry.
Jose: Were the paper?
Erik: it’s in the suitcase Julio take the papers out.
Julio: Here you go Erik
Erik: Here you sign here and here.
Jose: Ok
Jose signs the paper and after that he thought about Francisco. He remembered how happy he was with the idea of working in the factory. Jose looked at the money and remembers what did Francisco say that he was going to live so Jose grabbed the paper and rip it.
Erik: Why did you rip the paper are you crazy
Jose: sorry but I cant sell the factory
Erik: Why can’t you sell the factory?
Jose: I have a reason and I’m sorry
José got in a taxi and went to House of his brother but there was too much traffic and the cab couldn’t go. José got off the taxi and started running. When he got there he saw that Francisco was going to leave.
Jose: Francisco don’t leave please we have to talk.
Francisco: we already talked yesterday now if you will excuse me I have an airplane to catch
Jose: Francisco you can’t leave
Francisco: yes I can I don’t have anything else to do here.
Jose: what about the factory?
Francisco: you told me you were going to sell the factory
Jose: I know what I said but now I’m not going to sell it. I thought about what you told me. And how you were excited to work in factory
Francisco: did you sell the factory yes and no?
Jose: no I didn’t sell the factory so when do you want to start working.
Francisco: are you lying to me?
Jose: no I’m not
Francisco was happy that he went to the town with José and opened the factory so they could get started. The two brothers started immediately to look for workers that wanted to work in the factory. So two months later they started making a profit. The brother’s were happy that they were fulfilling their grandfather’s wish to keep the factory in business. They made enough money that Jose open a new restaurant and Francisco was working in the factory.
