The Love Triangle
A young lady named Samantha became curious one day at lunch and decided to try and pry her friends’ locker
open. She thought it would be funny to try and shove her fork through the little air vent slots and try to break it
open like someone trying to break out of jail. Samantha had seen a certain someone slip into the locker a note.
It turned out not to be JUST a note someone told her…it was a love letter. She wanted to read it for herself.
Samantha had a crush on the boy, Matt, and was very envious that it wasn’t going into her locker. She wanted to
dispose of the note before her best friend, Lily, could read it. Little did she know, Matt knew this would happen
once she found out, so he made another copy of the same exact note, just in case. Sadly enough for her, the
stupid, weak fork didn’t work. Samantha then snuck her way into the janitors’ closet to find the crowbar that he
kept for emergency situations only. When she went back to the locker, unsuccessfully not finding the crowbar she
realized something. The locker had been open the whole time. She was too afraid to read it so she strolled over to
the nearest trash can and threw it away.
Samantha walked up to Matt and asked why he didn’t like her but he liked someone else instead. He said,
“You’re too much like a sister to me, it would be awkward. Plus…never mind.” The bell happened to ring just then
and Matt ran off into the crowd of students heading to class and avoided her until close to the end of the day.
Samantha approached Lily later on that day and asked if she knew what had gotten into him lately. Lily knew a
secret…a secretly secret that even Samantha didn’t know yet…Lily liked him and her both, she was bisexual. Matt
liked both girls also. What did this situation create? The love triangle.
They both became terrified once the truth came out. Samantha because of her friend liking her and Matt both
while Lily was afraid of what Samantha might do. They knew one thing though; they both liked the same guy. They
looked each other dead in the eye with an evil glare, Samantha jumped on Lily and started a “girl fight” hissing and
clawing at each other with their nails. Lily bit Sammy on the arm to the point that she bled. The principle came to
break them up and brought them and Matt to his office. He made them figure out a way to resolve the issue and
Matt came up with a solution. He would date both girls for a week, one after the other, after they got back from
their week suspension for fighting.
One week later Matt got together with Sammy first. He would have the same dates with both females to make it
completely fair and so there wouldn’t be as much tension in the air. One night consisted of a movie of their choice
and ice cream afterwards. Another night, a lovely and fancy dinner with slow dancing. Last but not least…the state
fair was in town for those two weeks. Matt won them both a stuffed animal from the game area and went on
whatever rides they wanted to so he didn’t start any fights.
After two weeks Matt couldn’t decide because his feelings had grown tremendously for them both. So what
did he do? He asked for some time to ponder on which girl would be the best fit for him. One long, drawn out
week later, he chose Sammy. He came up with this decision because he thought about his past with both girls
and figured out that she had worked the hardest to try to win over his heart and feelings. Lily and Samantha
still remain friends even after the whole situation. Samantha and Matt stayed together and became high school
sweethearts. At their graduation, he went up in front of the whole football field, grabbed the microphone, and
asked her to marry him in front of family, friends, teachers, strangers, everyone. As a tear of joy slid down her
cheek and a few seconds of shocked silence, she said the one word everyone had been hoping for…”Yes.” She
tackle hugged and kissed him while the stadium filled with hoots and hollers. They stayed together, started a
family, and eventually both died happy because of old age.
