How many thoughts have we sent through our minds and into free air to flourish?

How many dreams have we woven through our days and nights, only to miss a stitch and forget them all?

How many ambitions have we constructed so meticulously that no tremor of life could shake them?

How many words have passed our lips that left even ourselves in awe of their clarity?

How many fragments of our souls have we left behind in this world, clinging to cloth worn once upon a time, hooked to laughter long faded away, tucked carefully away between aged pages and dried ink?

Or simply left drifting to the unknown from which no recollection can come, no nostalgia can be born, floating in an abyss of memories cast aside to make room for the future…

A super short piece written on Tumblr back in the early days of my blogging :)

Wow Nitasha, excellant work. I liked how you kept it short and simple, but still descriptive. Keep up the good work, I look forward to reading more!
