This charcoal piece depicts a piled up quilt and plush dog, embodying a childhood left behind. The overall development of this piece went fairly well The use of charcoal really helped capture the depth and texture of the subject. Overall the framing of the piece compensates for the busy nature of the quilt and solidifies its status as the focal point of the piece. The background also gives context of the light source.
