"Living life is like writing in pen, once you've made a mistake you can't go back and erase it..."
-Me

In the Dark and Silent night of the World
Coated in Inky Darkness without Hope
Fear and Happiness are Forever Swirled
Memories so Strong I can Barely Cope

My Past comes Back to Destroy my Future
Undoing the Illusion of Safety
The Crimes Haunting my Mind without a Cure
Time has been Running Out for me Lately

Ready for whatever I Have to Face
Ready for this Nightmare called Life to End
My Tears Covered with a Veil of Black Lace
My path is Unchanging, I see No Bend

The Sun still Rises Banishing Shadows
Still Hitting my face like a Gentle Kiss

The pressure in this world can seem too much at times and writing is one of the only ways I express the pain without causing harm to myself or those around me.

Ah, I simply loved it. I find that many people leave on the darkest note possible, making the story effective? Yes, but perhaps not the kind of reaction a reader wants. What makes this story different, what makes it truly a piece of artwork and something unique is the ending. Letting the story slide into a lighter tone, bring solace to the previous darkness truly makes this the emotional rollercoaster readers want. Not a solid black, or a solid white. But a mix, something more of a gray which people can't seem to create much of more now a days. Amazing poem. I loved it, my friend. -Orion
