Words were said
Tears were shed
That's why every night
I lie awake in bed

Thinking of what hurt you
So sad I didn't know what to do
I toss and turn will all the guilt and pain
Crying so hard my pillow said, "Is that rain?"

I'm not proud of what my words did
In fact they made me quite sick
Because they hurt my best friend
So I'm here to apologize
And pray our love will keep us together in the end

The author's comments:
I had a falling out with a best friend over something I said that was very stupid. It's true what they say that once that once a word is said it can't be taken back. So I'm urging everyone that sees this to watch what you say because it can come to hurt you and there's turning back after it's been said.
