I watch her through the hospital window.
I don’t know how much longer she’ll live,
I just sit and wonder when she will go.
I know she doesn’t have much more to give.

The doctor said it will take just one year,
So I pray to God her life will be blessed,
For this fatal disease won’t disappear
The disease that kills the lungs in her chest.

My daughter’s my life, my everything.
I can’t stand to see my baby like this.
I miss her smile, her eyes sparkling,
Those wonderful days I know I’ll miss.

When will the pain stop? How much longer, please!
I want the pain gone; I’m down on my knees.
