Daddy's Womb MAG

i asked my father if i could swim,
and he said that i would drown.
The Sea would imprison me – he said
if my feet had left the ground.

So i walked out to the water,
and cried out – how ’bout now!
He said, a little bit further, Son,
and then you’ll leave the ground.

i stepped on sand then stone,
from hollow ground to sturdy.
The sky was at my level as I
gazed at the birdie.

The Sea brought me a new idea,
the urge to flee to the high.

i asked my Father if i could fly,
and he said, sure, Son – go try.

i jumped as high as i could.
Still, i landed on the ground.
i saw my Father pull on a chain,
then i knew that i was bound.

Yeah, sorry... shouldn't have said anything. I was in kind of a bad mood. Usually I try to stick with the poem. I came off as harsh myself. Hopefully I didn't offend you too much...

I dont kno wat every1 is going on bout....this is a really great poem. Y r other people saying when they ur being arrogant?? Theyre the 1s saying how much better THEIR writing is. Im sorry, but i really like this. You so obviously put ur heart into this poem and i really lik how ur attached 2 ur father. Its really deep and thought provoking.

These are the poems the world needs to see, we are the next generation and we need to be heard. keep it up, that goes for everyone. this is a great poem.
