People turn to music when times get hard or even when times are happy. In light of the recent election, people need music more than ever. They don’t need songs about raunchy hookups or sweet romance; but, instead, they need songs that speak to how they are feeling deep in their soul. Disturbed’s song, “The Sound Of Silence” is just the song people need now. Unlike their popular song “Down with the Sickness”, this song takes a softer approach to the rock genre. Lyrically, this song is very poetic and beautiful while still keeping the deep themes seen in the rock genre. This song’s mix of soft rock and piano make it even more beautiful. The lead singer, David Draiman’s voice gives the song a calm tone that works well with the relatable lyrics and peaceful instrumentals. If people need music to speak to them then they need to listen to “The Sound of Silence” by Disturbed.

This is my first try at writing a review; but I feel confident about it.
