Walking With The Great Apes MAG

Walking with the Great Apes is a clever novel by Sy Montgomery. She goes into detail about the studies of three well-known female scientists: Jame Goodall, Dian Fossey, and Birut" Galdikas. All these women have made significant accomplishments towards primate ethology.

Jane Goodall studied chimps, Dian Fossey studied mountain gorillas, and Birut" Galdikas studied orangutans; each has collected more information on her topic than anyone else.

All these women learned from Louis Leakey, an archeologist who has contributed much. This book goes into such vivid detail that you will feel as if you were there with the apes. It is amazing how each woman handled the apes, and how the apes reacted.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I think anyone else who is interested in archeology, ethology or even zoology should give this book a chance. I highly recommend it. Two thumbs up!! n
