Krispy Kreme Food Review
Today I had the privilege to review, critique and analyze the amazingness that is Krispy Kreme donuts. They have built a reputation of excellence throughout the ages but I had never before been able to consume one of these donuts in a restaurant, on site before. I have to say that I was very impressed! I went in to the restaurant with very low expectations; perhaps expecting only a closet with a deep fryer and cash register. However, the environment in the store was quite pleasant, with pictures on the walls of the beginnings of their legacy and the quaint tables and booths with couples and friends alike, shoving their faces with deliciousness that is Krispy Kreme. The restaurant portion was very clean, so clean I could probably eat off of the floor! I was rather impressed and overwhelmed with the variety of options that they serve on location. I had only had a classic “glazed” donut before, and I have to say I was happy that I expanded my horizons! I was able to try a strawberry jelly filled donut as well as a chocolate glazed donut. Both of which were strenuous on my pocket book as well as my waist line! None the less, the experience whilst consuming the product is out of this world. The donut is able to melt in your mouth and remain light and fluffy all at the same time. The first bite tastes of frosting, glitter, happiness, sugar and spice. After one is finished with a single donut, it is really hard to stop eating the glorious circles of goodness! The only con that I can think of about this restaurant is the unfavorable locations in Arizona, only to be found in the most southern parts of Phoenix as well as very south on Shea Boulevard. The only negative sides of this restaurant is the immensely discouraging sight of the nutrition labels. It is displeasing to the eye when first peering upon this little white box on the side of the glorious donuts. Even though the creamy, flaky, mouth-watering pastries are devoured no matter the occasion, people seem to forget what exactly they are putting in their mouths. It is the equivalent to eating large McDonald’s fries if you eat two to three donuts. And if you’re like me, you simply cannot stop eating after just one donut, you could continue to eat four, five or even six donuts in a single sitting! However, these delicacies do not leave you feeling regret, rather they make you feel happy, as opposed to the food coma and grease filled gut that you get from most fast food places. It is said that Krispy kreme is the most popular donut, yet is the worst possible type of donut that you can eat! There is no comparison when trying other donuts, Krispy Kreme is the crème de la crème of all breakfast pastries, donuts and breakfast delicacies out there. No one can come close to the texture, taste and experience that is Krispy Kreme. The restaurant however, has many pros; the available pickup options, drive-through option, dine in option and carry out option. I have been able to experience the deliciousness of Krispy Kreme at restaurants as well as in my home and at school. The dine-out option allows for many people to bring joyful donuts to various events and even parties! This option, of carry-out, is a crowd favorite, and most certainly sell like hot-cakes whenever they are brought to my schools functions. I recall my best friends seventh birthday party, she wanted Krispy Kreme donuts instead of the traditional ice cream cake that was prime to having. Needless to say I was not disappointed! The small candles in the donuts illuminated the room and was prompted to visit, and sparked my curiosity for more Krispy Kreme in the future. I was enthralled with excitement when I found out about the new openings in Phoenix! I am overall very pleased when I think of my experience dining at Krispy Kreme Donuts. I can say that I will, without a doubt, be back again for more donuts to add to the increasing number on my scale. The calorie count is well worth the wait. Finally, if I was given a last meal before I died Krispy Kreme donuts would certainly be an item on the menu, I highly encourage you to visit, or consume one of Krispy Kremes confections.
