The writing titled “Dear College,” writing anonymously, talks about the flaws of a college application. “If only college knew” summarizes this whole letter. Colleges don’t see all the hard-work put in behind the B’s and C’s coming from the students that learning isn’t easy to; however, those are the students that tend to do better in college. The top students don’t learn how to deal with adversity and how to actually study, which is needed when you are away from home, but the “B” and “C” students do. They never give up when times are rough; they keep going strong. The top “A” student may have the “favor of test scores and GPA’s” that colleges look for, but college doesn’t come easy like high school. The students that don’t know how to study will most likely fall apart once they get there, but those who do, will know how to handle their new lifestyle.
