I agree with Jackie's point of giving girls a chance. I personally can not relate to this because I have not been in a sport. You can see this around people in my community. I beileve this is written well. I am confused on to why she decided to play boys instead of girls. She says " Girls tend to play neater then boys."She wants to play more agressively I suppose. After she started to play she got discouraged which is normal. She says," They thought since I was a girl I couldn't make good shots." I think this was a good writing to show to neer give up.
