The article "A Fuller Version of Myself" by Claire Westfield was very inspirational and eye-opening. No one really knows what goes on in a girls mind; some could be thinking of what they should wear tomorrow, where should they hangout with their friends, or, in this case, how many days can I go without eating? Claire openly expressed the low self-esteem she had which led her to starve herself and only think about her consumption of food. In this generation we are faced with lots of body "expectations/goals." Some either take it as an inspiration to better their health or some take it as a personal attack in which they have to loose so much weight in order to be "pretty." I personally think once in a while people do fall in the state of wanting to look "perfect", but I think the way someone handles the situation is most important. Claire may have not seeked for help, but over time she welcomed it and grew as a person and now believes in self-love, as we all should.
