The phrase "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" holds no meaning when you hate yourself.

People tell me that "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," but they also tell me that "It doesn't matter what they think of you. All that matters is what you think of you."
But when you say "I am ugly" people deny it. So the question arises, if you are the beholder, are you not allowed to think of anything but beauty?
