This piece displays a metaphor of depression. The hand represents a gun that is being "pulled" in the act of suicide. As the trigger is pulled she is experiencing all of her happiest memories. However it is to late for her the pull the gun away. In the last seconds she has alive she realizes that her life was not as bad as she thought. Life is better than death from depression.
