Summary:

Ash and Beatrice's first date does not go as expected. The disaster begins with Beatrice barely being ready to leave the house when Ash arrives. The two start the date with Beatrice covered in cat hair Ash sneezing.

 

The date soon becomes even more of a mess. Between a dangerous hiking expedition, crazy restaurant customers, and a sudden rainstorm, Ash and Beatrice's date is even more memorable than it was planned to be.

Nice story! I like that the kids were going to return the drinks, and "Ash's" surprise--the library--was so sweet, given their mutual interest in books. I also like that the characters did not become grouchy, complaining, etc. over how their date turned into "a series of misadventures."
