16, My Point of View
Your teenage years are very precious. I learned that you have to enjoy them but at the same time learn from them. In my opinion, I believe that I have been raised by two amazing parents. I can't even describe how much I love them. They have worked so hard to make my life what it is. And I wouldn't change it for anything. But most importantly they have made me who I am. They've shown me that living for fun is the best way to enjoy life. When I was younger, I was afraid of the meaning "growing up". I didn't know what that meant. But when I hit thirteen years old, I realized that it wasn't so bad. In my opinion, I think you learn and pay attention to things in your teenage years because that is the time that you are learning who you are, why you are here, and what you want to do in the future. As a little kid, you don't think of these things. You think of just having as much fun as you can. I am not saying that stops when you hit your teenage years. I'm saying that you really don't think of your future that much when your younger. Sixteen is a middle of your life number. It is number you should be proud of and it opens doors to driving, being more independent, and much more. At some point in your life, you will reach this number. It is just how life is. My advice? Take it and wear it. Be proud of your age. Don't be ashamed of it. I learned from my parents that you only have one life to live. Live it for fun. And enjoy it while it lasts because once it is gone it is gone. Enjoy the ones close to you. Learn the meaning of respect, gratitude, and caring. Trust me these tools will help you be a better person as life goes on. Most importantly chase your dreams, accomplish whatever comes your way, and mostly importantly have fun because life is a gift. Don't dwell on the past, live the present, and dream about the future. My parents taught me that every day is a day to make something better, to change something, or even try something new. Work hard and you'll be able to play harder. Fall in love, get your grades, and get your scholarship. Enjoy life, and live in the moment. Your moments are very special because one they are over they are over and you can never get them back. Enjoy your love ones. They are your inspiration. Be confident in who you are and what you are because that is more important than anything else. Sixteen, been there done that. Seventeen? You better be ready for me.
