My Home, Sacramento

Sacramento isn’t quite where I’m from, but for more than four years, I can tell you that waking up in the morning, Five star living, looking outside, smelling the refreshing air, top view, living life to the fullest. At night, as i get ready to gather with the friends and homies, heading to one of Sacramento’s finest area and mall, Arden. Sacramento has lot’s of surprising, fun, and extreme things to do, for instance we have the movies, games, we can go downtown, to old sac, candy factories, many different cultural restaurants, to the variety of shoes, to general parks, to amusement parks, to carnivals, we, Sacramento has it all, we want our guest to have a good ol’ time.

I hate to tell you but, you’d find out anyways. Most of the things I described to you was a major lie. I live near 29th street, recently moved near one of Sacramento’s finest area’s and mall, Arden. From my perspective, I can inform you that at night you’ll hear sirens creeping, footsteps shuffling, fireworks going off, children laughter, sobbing every night, and horn’s constantly honking. Don’t be fooled by the looks of my community, because even salt looks like sugar.

I’m informing you of not only the great activities of Sacramento but also it’s issues. People make commercials for hurting pets, when they’re starving children and homeless elders. We often use lots of water, but how long before we have to drink and take showers in lakes or streams due to Sacramento’s drought. Our youth joining these gangs, slanging, killing and growing up knowing that you’d have to set an example. Look at our “ law “, they need to stop abusing their power of authority, and do their job, instead of profiling our innocent black folks. Finally, drugs. Drugs aren’t necessarily for our elders or out youth, but yet it gets passed around like a bad cough. Drugs need to be used for an illness, instead of people abusing it, or overdosing.

Even though Sacramento struggles, we maintain to stick as one, and I will always accept it as my home and it’ll always be known as my playground.
