Sacramento My Home
My Sacramento is a wonderful place to experience and visit. I live with my amazing family in a two story apartment that has the scent of fresh oranges. All the people around me are nice and generous and don’t mind to lend a hand to someone in need. When I look outside I see clean streets with everyone around happy and having fun. If I were to go to our beautiful and crystal clear rivers, I could see everyone fishing or swimming with each other and just having a fun time. When I go to bed at night, I can hear the quietness of the outside and have a relaxing sleep with no problems.
With all the commercials showing how beautiful and wonderful Sacramento, it is all just a big fantasy that they want you to believe about us.
In my reality, all I see is graffiti up and down every street, building, and train that you pass by. You walk down my neighborhood and you’ll see a dirty and beat up place full of gang members and crack heads down every neighborhood that smells like weed and beer. Every restaurant that you pass by is almost guaranteed to see a homeless man or two begging for money and food. Although all the problems that are here are bad and all but the worst part is the racism that goes on here. The cops over here are one sided most of the time and will go for the one with the darker color than the one with the lightest color.
While I am writing this, I can think of many other things that gives Sacramento a bad reputation but I am just scratching the surface. Everywhere you go is just a hotspot for homeless people and also for that matter, everyone seems to ignore them for no reason even though I can agree because mostly every homeless person is using that money for drugs which is another reason for drug abuse. In commercials, they show how calm our city is yet it is a ticking time bomb for fights and murders.
My Sacramento may be a dangerous place but it is still beautiful and delightful to visit for a few weeks but don’t live here for the safety of you and your family.
