No matter where or who your are, people look up to you. Even us teenagers are seek out and have to be leaders for youthful people. With training this skill in such a young age, can aid them in the future. With this kind of know-how it will make them work exceedingly with group projects and help them work out problems by themselves. The exact definition of leadership is "the action of leading a group of people or an organization". Which shows that you have people who will follow what you speak and act. This teaches kids that what they speak or act, can and may even affect the people who look up to them.

Leadership to kids, may not be important to them, that it's just something they have to do to pass or something. But I personally believe that it's one of the most important skills we can learn as not only kids, but also as people in general. A lot of people I see now a day are more followers and not leaders. One quote that really caught my interest was the quote by Tom Peters which states, "Leaders don't create followers, they create more leaders." As I researched this paper, I found out that more agree that it's better to follow than to lead, when makes no sense to me. If you only follow and never lead or show anyone, the world would most likely never change, even for the better or for the worse. But we also must be careful who the leader may be. You don't want to look up to a leader that makes bad decisions, which would only influence other bad decisions.

Since we where little kids, we have been taught to quote on quote, "Follow the leader." With this kind of games and teaches for little kids, we have always been taught that a leader and being the leader is a very important to you and everyone around them. What the National Alliance for Secondary Education and Transition has stated about young education for leadership that it encourages healthy growth by providing kids with the ability to analyze their own strengths and weaknesses; to set personal goal and to gain the abilities to carry out those goals. Without this ability, we would never be able to see our flaws.

Leadership, is such a strong word for kids to comprehend. Most people believe that leaders are the big people, like the president of the United States. But to me,even the smallest leaders can do great things. For example, from the Bible King David was extremely young, many people believe he was fifteen maybe sixteen when he was anointed king. For him, it much have been a huge life changing experience. In the end though, for when he became king to when he died, he was a fantastic leader. Meany kids can take from this is that you are never to young to be a leader and age can only stop you in so many ways. Since David was to young, he was anointed king but until he was old enough, he didn't become king. This only shows that it can take time to show change but when it comes it's excellent and can change people lives.

To finish off, without leadership our world would be lost. No one would stand up for what they believe in and a lot may not know what is right or wrong. The earlier you start to me personally is better for you and your leadership skills. Teen leadership is important example that you can never be too old to be a leader. Leaders are one of the main things that make the world go around.
