One rainy, snowy, and foggy day I was laying in my front yard with my magnificent rose colored snow pants getting covered with all the rough snow and rain weather dropping down on me. All of a sudden, I see and hear Jenna’s door slam shut and she came abruptly out of her house with her dog to take her out. Since the rain and snow was all coming down at the same time, and a lot of it, her whole driveway was covered in a very thick layer of midnight black ice.

But i’ll back it up a bit. It was early February of 2013, and my family and I were watching the news. All of a sudden we started hearing a bunch of reports of blizzard warnings and how their could be 40 inches of snow. Of course they were all mad, because to them all snow is, is a chore. But, me being somewhat of a child myself I was very excited. The next day it very early in the morning, I woke up and saw snow!!!!!!!!! I was quite excited because it was the first huge snow storm in a while. The storm went on for a while, but the second day I decided to go outside and lay in the snow and ice mixture, while getting poured and snowed on by no other but mother nature.

So that brings us back to the story. As I heard Jenna’s door slam shut like the big bad wolf yelling at the pigs, all of a sudden I hear her dog barking and giving her a hard time. At the time, I knew there was black ice on her stairs, but I guess she didn’t, because she only took one step until she abruptly fell down the straight narrow stairs. Her dog ran free and came to me because she knows and trusts me and was scared. I ran over to Jenna’s home and peaked in knowing her son was home.

¨SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!!! SHE FELL! SHE FELL! SHE FELL!¨, I screamed like I was getting bit by a vampire.
Moments later he came sprinting out (even though he was almost 39 years old) and said to go home to my parents. In a few minutes the ambulance came and she was on a stretcher. When I went over there to say goodbye for now, she just said thank you so much...you saved me and got wheeled away.

From this situation, I took away that even the littlest things that you can do for someone will make the world of the difference for them. When Jenna said thank you I felt very helpful and happy that she was in good hands now, and I knew I did everything in my power to help her.

That day in 2013, I really helped someone all I could.
