My Winter Thriller
“Wake Up!!!, wake up!!!”, my brother repeated as I slowly got up, and my eyes adjust to the bright light.
“Hey can we go play in the snow today?”, my brother says while he pulls me out of the bed.
“Yea sure”, I reply “Just let me wake up in peace”
After about 5 minutes of talking to my brother about how the ride to our grandma's house was fun. We finally decided to get dressed, and while we were getting dressed we could smell breakfast.
“It smells like sausage, eggs, and toast; I wonder if she’ll make bacon too” I say while licking my lips.
“That sounds great” my brother says.
Now we started scarfing down our delicious breakfast as our mom turn on the T.V. After we finish breakfast we watch about 1 hour of Saturday cartoons. After the cartoon were over we thought about what we would do outside.
“We could build a fort”, my brother says in excitement.
“Maybe we could have a snowball fight”, I say “Why don’t we do both?”
“Sure sounds fun”, my brother says in agreement.
So we get all of our snow stuff on. Including snow pants, coats, gloves, and hats. Then we trot outside.
“Man Keagan we look like the Zoo’s penguins when we walk with all this stuff on”, I say while frowning.
“Yea but at least we haven’t fallen over yet-like how Tyler did last week.” Keagan says.
Now we had been walking for about 1 minute when we see a the fence that goes around our grandma's pond. We both look at eachother and we smile, both knowing exactly what we were gonna do.
Keagan had decided we wanted to step on the ice over the pond first. He slowly puts his foot on it then laughs like he’s the king. Then he stands on one foot and then it happens……….. The ice breaks and he falls in it all happens so fast one second he's there the next he’s submerged in water. So as fast as I can I pull him out and run him inside. He sits there with a towel wrapped around him and he shivers like as if he’s just seen the most scary thing in the world.
What I have learned from this experience is to always think before you act because some things you think are cool can end up to be a disaster.
