It was like slow motion, I could see the glass falling towards me off of the shelf.  Thump . . .it hit me! I was only 4 years old at the time. Ashley, my friend, was also 4.  She and I were in the basement and the rest of the kids were upstairs, when the accident I will never forget happened.
Ashley and I were playing Hide and seek tag at our daycare, in the basement. There was a doll house in one corner and a chair in another. A computer in the other and  a pool table against the wall next to the computer.
“1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7”, Ashley counted. I decided to hide under a chair, because that is where I thought I could hide from her.
I thought to myself I am safe here.
“8,9,10, ready or not here I come”, She said.
Oh No!, I thought to myself.
“Where are you”, She said.
She is going to find me,  I thought.
“Come out, Come out wherever you are”, She said as she got closer. I could hear her footsteps they got louder the closer she got. Her polka dotted socks move closer and closer.  I could feel the freezing metal chair was around me, it was like it was made out of snow. My heart was beating and, beating.  My heartbeat accelerated the closer she got. There she was, on the other side of the chair legs.
Then I moved to not get tagged, but so did the chair. The chair hit a glass mug above that was on the shelf. I could hear the mug move, sounding like a pool ball when it hits another. The mug rocked back and forth, back and forth before…
The mug was hurling towards me: I could hear it fall, breaking the air. Suddenly, I could feel the pain in my head. It felt like someone had just stabbed me. The mug had struck my head and there was now a gap as big as the Grand Canyon. I was bleeding as much as water flows through Niagara Falls;  I was screaming in pain and was crying like a newborn baby.  I ran upstairs as fast as cheetah.

My mom came to pick me up.
“Oh, My sweetie. Are you ok?”, she asked
“No. I am going to die”, I exaggerated.
“Let’s take you to the doctor’s office”, I mom stated.  We got in the black mini van. We walked in then we sat down for 5 minutes before we went it. There is two sides to the waiting room. One side is for the sick, the other is for the healthy. There is a fish tank in between. The fish tank is big and it has all kinds of fish. There are tv’s and things for kids to do
*******
Then I got called in to the doctor’s office.
We passed many other rooms before we got to the one I was in.
I was at a doctor’s office. I was in extraordinary pain. The doctor had a tube of something, but I didn’t know what is was. Then he told me that it was glue and it was what he was going to put on my head for it to heal. I could smell the glue, and it smelled like regular glue. I could see the glue, but it was a mysterious purple color. I could feel the frigid glue on my head. It was as cold as frost.
My mom asked “how do you feel?”
I thought to myself not good, my head still hurts really bad.
“It feels ok, but it still hurts”, I answered. My head was fully healed after a year. I can still feel where I cracked my head. I took about 30 minutes to get to the doctor, wait and get it on.
I won’t forget how my hair got stuck in the glue for months.I was the worst pain I have ever experienced. I learned not to play around glass or my head will always be in pain.
