On January 25, 2015. At St. Joshua Marin hospital. A doctor named Robert S. James is put in jail for helping a suffering old man commit an illegal suicide. Other medical staff says that it’s a bad choice to help a person commit suicide.

The police say that the killing was called Euthanasia. Which is illegal in many states and countries.  But in some counties has possess to this procedure, like most people have to write out things. Some places want 2 doctors to do it and a physiologist and a paper stating why you want and the reasons or a statement from some who is responsible for you.

Euthanasia means assisted suicide, its where a person who has been suffering from a cancer or any other medical illness that doctors can not find a cure to. To kill them so they will no longer suffer pain. All over about the world 9,700 people explicit requests pfor euthanasia. And only half of that only get it.

Dr. Robert S. James’ attorney says, “That (man that we can not say) came to him about a cancer that was not curable. He says that the man was suffering, and need someone to take him from the pain that he was having. Doctor James told the man about the procedure and the man wanted the euthanasia. .

Officials say that the family of the old man says that they had not known about what happen. And when then they found out and heard the story. They wanted to know why, what made him do this, and why didn’t the doctor not contact the family. Janet from the old mans family says, “ He died so fast, I wonder if it was the medicine or was it the doctor. We spoke to the doctor and he said that ‘Doctor James ‘ “ I did my job as a doctor it is not my fault that he came to me and asked for it. I am a doctor not a killer.“

Due to the courtroom doctor Robert James is calling himself not guilty. Doctor Robert James will still be in custody until further notice.
