That One Night.

It was a horrific night. Josh and I were faltering down the grim path in the dismal woods, trying to find this party he was so excited about. The diminished path was made of leaves, cigarette buds, trash, and destroyed brown grass. The wood’s air smelled like disaster, smoke, and alcohol. After wandering around for about 15 minutes I was beginning to feel exasperated, until this darkly monstrous dressed man emerged from the shadows of the night, right into the moons bluish beam of light. We both stood there, staring at each other, for what felt like a century, until josh broke the silence by saying “What’re you staring at, creep?”. I really wish he would just shut up sometimes. As soon as those words flew out of his mouth I was petrified.  The only sensible thing I could think to do is run like I’ve never ran before, so I did . As soon as I started running my legs turn directly to jelly, just like in the horror movies I fell a numerous amount of times. When I hit the ground all I could think is “this is how I’m going to die”. Well the thought of dying scared me but the main things that bothered me is that I just left josh there, how everyone is going to react, and will anyone know I’m dead or am I just another missing child case. I attempted to get back up but failed when I got seized off of the ground. My first reaction is too move as much as possible and try to free myself, but when i heard people laughing I thought I was going to throw up, luckily I didn’t. I stopped struggling to free myself as soon as I heard josh’s voice say “calm down, it’s just a Halloween prank”. I was flabbergasted when I heard those word come out of his mouth like this is okay to do to people, especially me. I gave josh this were-so-over-and-you-better-not-talk-to-me glare. Josh immediately tried to redeem himself and hug me. I rejected the hug, walked back down the diminished path, and straight to my car. When I got to my car I started it and drove home as fast as I could possibly go without getting a ticket all the way home. As soon as I got home I snuck in, went straight to my room, and jumped into my bed, trying to rethink what just happened. Honestly this whole night felt like i was in a dream, not because this is a fantastic night, it’s because i never thought i would do the things i just did tonight. I don’t know if i'm going to tell anyone or even talk to anyone who was at that party. But one thing i do know is that i'm not going to sit up all night and deprive myself of sleep just thinking about what happened. Goodnight.
