The Time I Fell In The Duck Pond
I remember back in 2006, I was 6 years old, on a warm summer afternoon, I went to the duck pond. It was me, my mom and my aunt. When we got there, the water was shiny and brown and the wind was blowing in the trees. I was wearing a yellow dress with yellow shoes and yellow barrets on my ponytails. My mom had gone over to the barn to get us some corn to feed the ducks. I was feeding the loud, quacking ducks while my mom and aunt sat and talked like an hour. I ran out of my smelly corn, so I asked my mom for more. While she got more corn, I wanted to be silly and feed the duck a rock.
It licked the rock, which had bird poop on it. Then it bit me and flew off. My mom gave me the corn and I continued to feed the ducks. The duck that bit me flew back and I started to talk to him. I apologized to him and started to talk to him about how smelly he was. He flew away when I told him that he smelled like poop. He flew away and I chased him and then…SPLASH!!! I fell into the pond face first. My mom and aunt quickly pulled me me out of the pond. I smelled like poop and was covered on feathers and poop. We decided to leave, so i could get cleaned up. I had to sit on tons of newspaper in the car. My mom had to spray me with the hose before I took a shower so I won’t clog the drain. After I got out the shower, my mom made my favorite meal, tuna casserole. After I ate, I watched cartoons and then I left with my cousin to go to my aunt’s house.
