My Biggest Influence
My influence is my dad, whom has helped me through so much because he’s taught me how to be respectful to others around me, taught me how to be brave, and taught me how important my life is.
All my life, my dad and taught me how to treat others. He’s taught me how to treat people around me. I’ve learned how to be mature in public and even at home. This all has resulted in very good ways. I’ve learned how to act in certain situations and I now know quite well how to get through them.
Something my dad has taught me, is how to be brave. Almost all my life, I was afraid of everything. Scared to do what I wanted in fear of people hurting me or even judging me for every single one of my actions. However my dad taught me not care about what others think of me, that their opinions don’t matter. He taught me how to be brave and get through all the years that I was bullied, although then I didn’t realize all the help, I see now. And during the hardest times, he always listens when I need him.
One of the most important and greatest things my dad has done for me, has helped me through my depression. Although he didn’t know much about it, for I kept it a secret, it was the little things he told me that helped me through so much. When I had been in the stage of wanting to end my life he once told me “Suicides only a permanent answer to a temporary problem.” And while those words weren’t much, this helped me realize that everything gets better within time.
My dad has been there for me through a lot and I know through time, even when I’m out of the house, I know he’ll be there when I’m in need of help or someone to listen while I vent.
