Live life to the fullest!

My childhood was filled with memories! Between all the holiday’s, birthday parties, and family outings, my life has been pretty memorable. Family time when you are young can really give you some good memories for the future.

In my childhood, family was a huge part of it. We always have a cookout or a family party to go to. I remember when I was six, my aunt was having a party/ cookout for my cousin, who had just finished collage. That all had to do with family. This year, another one of my cousins finished high school. There was a party for him as well and turned out to be a big family outing. Family outings are where a lot of my childhood memories come from.

Some of my other childhood memories come from birthday parties! My family would always come to my birthday parties when I was younger. I remember going to a skating rink for one of my birthday parties. All my family and friends were there. The people at the roller rink made pizzas for us and brought them to our table. Later in the evening, we had time for cake and gifts. I remember when they called my mom and I to the middle of the skating rink and they gave my mom a wooden paddle. She was to paddle my butt for each year of my life I believe I was 7 at the time. It was so much fun! It was one of my favorite birthday party memories. My all time favorite birthday party was my 6th birthday party. It was at our lake lot. We had a Hawaiian luau party! It was so much fun! My family was there and we had games and a pinata! It was a pink colored flower shaped pinata! It was by far my favorite thing about my 6th birthday party.

The last but probably the most important events from where I get my childhood memories came from are holidays! My mom’s side of the family would always come to my grandma and grandpa’s house which is right across the street from my house every year for Thanksgiving. In addition to this holiday, we would take turns every Christmas and go to a different family’s house each year. It would take us five years to make the rotation around to everyone’s house. One year, it would be at my house, another year it would be at my aunts, then the next year at my other aunt’s house, after that, it would be at my uncle's, then my grandma’s, and so on. These are some of my childhood memories. I think that time spent with family at cookouts, birthdays, and holidays build some of the best memories ever!
