Everybody has had embarrassing moments. They are usually the best memories to share with others. I have had a lot of bad luck in my life so far. The most embarrassing thing that has happened to me was at a J. Cole meet and greet.

It was May. I had heard on the local radio, 93.9 WKYS, that J. Cole was coming in town for a meet and greet in Alexandria, Virginia to promote his new album. The radio station was going to pick 5 lucky fans to win skip the line passes. Of course, being a passionate fan, I went online and entered. After a few days had pass, I forgot about the daily contest.

On June 20th, I went to a Barnes and Noble bookstore with my whole family in Bethesda. While I was reading a book, I received a phone call from a number I have never seen before. It was the radio station. They informed me that I was one of the 5 winners and to come to the Best Buy at 4, an hour before the signing starts with my ID so that I could take a picture and talk to him. My heart sank to my stomach. I could not believe that I won. After we hung up, I had to find a way to convince my dad to drive all the way to Alexandria.

My dad finally agreed to the plan and we began to go on our way. We spent an hour getting lost and finally asked for help. We arrived to the Best Buy and I rushed inside the store to show WKYS correspondent my ID. He told me that I arrived too late to take a picture but he was going to see what he could do. I bought my CD and got a wristband and the man was leading me to the back of the store where J. Cole was signing the CDs. After walking awhile, out of nowhere I tripped and fell brutally on my face in front of J. Cole. I immediately began to think that this was going to be the worst day of my life and all I wanted at that moment was to go home. This was extremely embarrassing and I did my best to hold back tears.

Although I tripped and fell in front of my favorite rapper. I managed to get back on my feet, laugh it off and walk with confidence towards the table. He laughed a little and asked how i was doing and I told him that I was fine and glad that I got to meet him. We talked more and he signed my CD. It turned out to be one of the best days of my life, but also the most embarrassing one.
