Moving to the United Stated from Mexico at age 4 was a huge change in my life. Even though I was still little it was a big adjustment in my life. I wish my parents didn’t make the decision of moving here but they did. They did because moving to the USA would bring better opportunities and a better lifestyle for us. Like a better salary for my dad because he wasn’t getting paid as well as he should have in Mexico. In America would have a house; in Mexico we lived with my grandma because we had no money. And in the United States they would offer me a better education. Even though we would have a better life in the USA I did not want to move here because my family was in Mexico. My family means the world to me and I have so many of them. When I broke my leg at age 3 they would carry me around everywhere because we couldn’t afford crutches. My grandma and my Uncle Loba are the people I was closest to and it was hard to let go of them. I love my grandma with all my heart, think about her every day, and also pray for her. Even though she comes and visits me once a year, that’s still not enough for me. I would like to be with her every day of my life and take care of her. She is very old and only god knows what will happen next. My tio Loba would take care of me as if I was his daughter. He would always spoil me and buy me everything I wanted. Even though I was little I have great memories with him. Like the day we sat outside my grandma’s house. There are mountains to the right of the house, and we would just stare at them. “Que hay allá en las montañas?”(What’s over there in the mountains?) I asked. “Pues ay puro polvo mija.”(Just dust.) My uncle replied. “Un día me llevas par ver?”(Will you take me one day?) I said “Un dia te llevare.”(I will take you someday.) He promised.
