The Beach or Not to Beach
It was a boring, lame, and bummer day until we went to the beautiful, extraordinary, superb day at Huntington Beach and pier! That was how I felt when we were going to the beach but my dad also had brought home two 1 day admission passes to San Dimas, California Ragin’ Waters. Therefore my dad had made my sister and I decide whether to go to Huntington Beach with our friends or Ragin’ Waters without our friends. After our agreement the decision was final, we were going to the sunny Huntington Beach with our friends!
Meanwhile in a few days, we went to buy our stuff to take to the beach; afterwards we packed our stuff into the car the next day. “I’m so excited to go to the Beach!” I exclaimed.
My sister replied, “Me too!”
Then I asked my mom this question,” Mom are you excited about going to the beach with all your friends?”
My mom answered,” Yes”
Then we stopped at Starbucks to get coffee for the road. After a few minutes some of my friends’ family showed up and they were giving each other information on where to go and which way is the shortest. Finally after all the discussion was done we drove a long way to the beach. “Dad, are we lost?” I questioned after we couldn’t see our friend’s cars following us.
My dad replied with a tone like he was sort of mad, “NO.”
“Ok dad,” I answered timidly
Secretly I think that my dad was really lying. Any who, hours later, we arrived at beautiful, sunny skies and with my visualization of the image; I think we have arrived at Huntington Beach, California!
During the first three hours went so fast it felt like a sonic blast. Whoosh! But before that three hours past, my friends and I had to help the adults to set up the umbrellas and shade. After 20 minutes we went to hit the waves. Right when we touched the waves I felt like I almost got hypothermia from the water being so cold! After I warmed up I went back to the waves with my body board. Then after an hour of,” Oh YEAH!” we went back to go eat some food. The food I ate was a scrumptious sandwich, a delicious drink, and chewed down some crunchy chips.” that was a really good sandwich, Mom,” I commented to my mom. She responded with a nod. While my food settled I talked to my friends while we laid our feet in the sand. Then I went back because the ocean was calling me, (not really), I only stayed for a few hours in the shimmering,
salty ocean because one of the dad’s said that it was time to go and pack the stuff and go home.
The cleanup was long because we were three families, but we brought a lot of stuff, unlike me because I only brought spare clothes, my goggles, my body board, my shades, a towel, and my Kindle Fire. Other people brought like a trunk load of items. I was tired because I got sunburned a little, and we made 2 or 3 trips from the car to the area. After our little “exercise” we had to change in the dreaded, small bathroom. (Now I should’ve looked at the bathrooms before I made my choice). After our bathroom experience I told Isabella (My friend) this,” Did you had fun today?”
She replied,” Yeah I did had a super amount of fun today!”
Then we all went our separate ways home. That was my very important choice (To this day) because my sister and I wouldn’t have as much fun without our friends then with our friends. The beach beats having to wait in line at a water park for just a 5-etc. second(s) long water slide. I hope people would agree with me that it is more fun to spend time together with your friends than waste time without your friends and that was choice.
THE END
