Valentines Day
Waiting around for a painful disappointment.
Rejection surfacing the air on this red and pink day.
Lonely but carefree. Sorrow but giddy.

Never once has this been a romatic evening.
An ounce of happiness was never recieved.
So what I do know is my desperate want to be happy
 on this dreadful day.

Terrified in this frightened hour, waiting for the
end of this brightly colored day.

Roses and chocolates have never been a gift for
me. Neither teddy bears or cute cards covered in beautiful hearts.

Just a day by myself with nothing to
 say except the sarcastic
"Happy Valentines Day to you too."
