I open my bedroom window and gaze at the scattered stars up in the dark night sky. Oh how it would be a dream come true to go into space, I say to myself. But a big dream like that is too big for me to reach.

Then I thought about all the other people that pursued there dream to go into space. The first person that came into my head was Alan Shepard, the first American to go into space. I wish I could meet him, so I could ask him so many questions about space, I thought to myself.

I want to know all the hardship he went through to become the first American in space. I want to know if there is hope for a girl like me that can only dream of seeing the stars close up. As the hero of United States back in 1961 that made an impact on space travel today, I would like to thank him for his bravery and courage for changing the way we can perceive space now and especially for changing history.
