79 years is the average human lifespan. Seems like a long time to be alive, and living on this earth. Most people take life for granted by not living their life to their full potential, or wasting it away doing nothing.  Life is something that needs to be cherished. I understand that there are so many dangers that can arise in the world, but if we don't take risks once in a while, we will never know what it would be like to truly live. Nowadays, technology is booming in our society, and that opens up so many more options. For example, with the creation of flight like the airplane, we are able to fly anywhere in the world and experience what other parts of the world have to offer.  Don’t let others influence what you turn out to be.

Many people go through their life playing it safe and never trying new things. Throughout the school years, people tend to worry strictly about social status, grades, and what college they will get into. Life isn't all about your success rate in high school and college. Some of the most successful people in the world were either high school drop outs or never went to college. This isn’t to say that you shouldn’t go to college or drop out of high school, but this proves that there is more to life than just education. Those successful people definitely didn’t take life for granted, but pushed their limits to get everything out of each and everyday. We all have the same 24 hours in a day, but it is up to you to choose how you spend these 24 hours.

Passion is probably the biggest key factor in successfully living your life. Sure you can have a successful job that gets you a steady paycheck, but if you don’t enjoy the job or whatever it is your doing, then why do it? I understand that money is a absolute necessity for living, but there is always other job options out there that will pay well and help you pursue your dreams. If your passionate about something, then what’s stopping you? What are you afraid of? We’re all human, so failure is a given. Failure should not be the reason that is holding you back from doing what you love. As Thomas Edison once said, “I have not failed, I have simply found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” This means that even in failure, persistence, and passion are what will lead you to your ultimate success.

“Do what you can’t.” This statement was given by a very successful social media influencer and successful business owner named Casey Neistat.   From consistently receiving detention and getting in trouble, to his parents lack of support, it is very apparent that Casey had a tough upbringing. At the age of fifteen, Casey had enough, and ran away from home. Casey ended up in New York City barely living off of government welfare. At that point in his life, some would believe that his dreams should be the least of his worries. That’s not what Casey thought. Everything that he did was to get him one step closer to those dreams. Everyone told him “You can’t be a filmmaker because you didn’t go to film school, or you're not pretty enough to have your own TV show.” He is now a multimillionaire, his own boss, and works hard to influence others to do what they can’t. I was told by others that I couldn’t be a good soccer player, or I could never be good at lacrosse. Now I am the captain of my soccer team and the lead scorer for my lacrosse team.

I never let others negativity get to me, it has always made me work harder to prove them wrong. Life isn't something we should take for granted, just live.
