Life, what's up with that?
Love, what's up with that? What does it mean? Where does it come from? Why do we want it? Why do we need it? Why is it here? Why does it drive us crazy? Why do we fight for it? Why is it worth fighting for? How does it bring us to our knees? How does it break us in two? How does it keep us coming back for more? Does it control our universe? Does it rule our lives? Does it define our existence? Does it give us meaning? Does it give us hope? Why do we feel it? How does it just appear? Does it ever leave? Why does it mean so much? Why shouldn't it mean so much?
Heartbreak, what's up with that? What is the point of it? Why do we allow it? Why do we set ourselves up for it? Why do we run from it? How do we deny it? Why should we deny it? Can we truly recover from it? Do we real want to recover? Why don't we fear it more? Why can't we avoid it? Why do we let it happen over and over? Why don't we learn the first time? Can it destroy us? Does it destroy us? Why does it hurt so much? Why should it hurt any less?
Pain, what's up with that? Where does it come from? Why can't we hide from it? How do we endure it? Can we endure it? How deep does it go? Is it always different? Does it always go away? Why does it go away? Do we want it? Do we need it? Does it help us? Does it make us who we are? Does it embrace us for nothing? Can we make it go away? Does it leave in time? How badly does it hurt? Does it bring us to our last breath? Does it take that breath away? Is it a test? What is it a test of? Who will grade it? How do we pass? What happens if we fail? Does it always have to hurt? Can we num it? Can we face it?
Happiness, what's up with that? Can we find it? Does it find us? Can we give it away? Do we always get it? Do we all get it? What is it? Can we see it? Can we hide it? How do we keep it? Can we keep it? Does it always help? Does it always leave? Do we only get it for a moment? Can we get it for a life time? Do we need it for a life time? Do we need it at all? Do we all want it? Are we obsessed with it? Is it obsessed with us? Can we die feeling it? Do we all hope for it? How do we find it? How does it find us? How does it go away? How do we lose it? Do we have to lose it?
Who knows? Who will ever know? How do we find out? Is there an answer to the questions? Are we meant to never know? Should we know? Will it help if we know? How would it change things? Could knowing change things? Who do we ask? Why do we ask? Why do we want to know? Do we want to know? Is there anything to know? Do we need to know? Do we need to ask? What gives us the right to ask? Do we have the right to ask? What is the point in asking? Is there a point in asking? Is it wrong to ask? Why would it be wrong to ask? What's wrong with wanting to know?
I don't know. I don't know the answers to these questions. I don't even know why I asked. I know that I won't get an answer, if there is an answer. Maybe there is an answer to the questions, but maybe we aren't meant to know. Maybe we can't know. Maybe that would change everything. Maybe we shouldn't ask. Or maybe there aren't any answers. Maybe there never will be. Maybe it just happens. Maybe it happens for no reason. Maybe it happens, because something has to happen. If it didn't happen, then maybe the world would be empty. Maybe that's what makes the world go round; Love, Heartbreak, Pain, and Happiness. Maybe they truly are a reason to live. I mean, when you honestly think about it, isn't that what we live for? We search for Love. We overcome Heartbreak. We try to deal with Pain. We hope for Happiness. That's what our lives are about. It's all we do. It's what we live for. It's all we have to live for.
What would we do without Love? Would we just roam the world alone? Could we live without someone to look to for comfort? Could we live without someone to share our heart with? No, I don't believe we could.
How would we feel without Heartbreak? Would we feel at all? Why would we hold on to the things we love? Would we care about the things we should love if there was no Heartbreak to tell us just how much we've lost after we've lost it? Could we live without knowing how much we cared for something after it's gone? No, I don't think we could.
Would we know we were really alive without the Pain to remind us? No, I know some wouldn't, and I bet the rest of you wouldn't either.
What would we live for without the pursuit of Happiness? Nothing, that's what, I can't even imagine what we would do without the hope of Happiness.
Some questions aren't meant to be answered. I understand and accept the fact that some questions will never be answered. I'm ok with that. I just hope that one day Love won't cost us so much. I hope that Heartbreak won't come as often. I hope that Pain will hurt a little less. I hope that one day Happiness won't be so hard to hold on to. Maybe one day one of my hopes will be known as truth. And maybe, just maybe, we'll get some answers! ïŠ
