Texting While Driving

Having a cell phone against your ear or in your hand(s) while driving can lead to you either dying or laying in the hospital bed in critical condition. Sometimes the accidents aren’t that bad, but there’s always a first for everything.

Injuries from accidents can be very deadly and very serious. Cars aren’t as safe as people make them out to be. The air bags can easily be activated, and just a simple fender bender can cause them to pop out. Many people don’t realize how important it is to keep both hands on the wheel, and both eyes on the road. Most of the time, the driver gets hurt, but the victim(s) get killed. Their families are left with the pain from what the person driving decided to do instead of being a careful driver.

What is seriously so important about that text, that it can’t wait until you get to wherever you’re going? This is the question that most parents of the victim(s) commonly ask, and sadly, no one has an answer that’ll ever be good enough. Mom’s get the most emotional end of it, dad’s aren’t really sure what to say or think at that point of time. And to top that off, 80% of the time, the text simply says “I’m on my way.” That definitely could wait!

Many reported accidents are between teenagers or very young men or women. Sadly, more teenagers get into these types of accidents than adults do.

A new law should be passed banning all cell phone use. If a cop sees anyone on their cell phones, they need to be pulled over and immediately get cited.
